Postgraduate Students and applicants for Egypt’s universities report sudden and unexplained increases in tuition fees – in some cases triple those of the previous academic year. Sara Mahmoud, a pharmacist at Tanta University, told news agency Al Fanar annual fees for her course jumped from 11,000 Egyptian pounds last year to 36,000.

At Mansoura University, one of the country’s biggest, post-graduate diplomas in arts subjects rose from 8,800 pounds to 2,000, with a MA up from 1,000 to 3,000. Read more on Egypt’s steeply rising tuition fees here. http://www.al-fanarmedia.org/2016/09/price-masters-doctoral-degrees-jumps-egypt/
