Speaking Games
Jason Anderson, Delta Publishing;

This 128-page photocopiable resource book contains fifty speaking activities divided into four groups: board games, card games, games involving secret information and quizzes and challenges. Many activities are not only fun but also useful for B1–C1 language learners. Some are highly inventive, such as ‘Question Taboo’ where students cannot use specific words in their answers, and ‘Who wants to be an “Idiom”aire?’ Teachers should use some activities cautiously, like those requiring students to improvise or tell lies, and ‘Kangaroo Court’, which requires students to be quite creative. The A4 game boards can be blown up in size. Inventive.
