An addition to Learning English

BBC Learning English, which uses the BBC World Service to teach English by broadcasting internationally and through the internet on various channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Viber and as well as with podcasts and an app, has added a new series to its canon.

Called Leadership, it’s a 20-part series made in collaboration with The Open University, which both funded the project and provided three academics who worked on the development of the programme.

The series has two strands. One looks at leadership from different perspectives, including from globally recognised figures including Greta Thunberg, Malala Yousafzai, Marcus Rashford and Barack Obama; the other strand features interviews with some of those featured.

Leadership is live now, kicking off with the first episode which asks whether women are better leaders than men.
